CUSTOM 1 ON 1 GUIDANCE / PRIVATE SESSIONS
Work one-on-one with a Prism practitioner to explore the unique ways your nervous system, body, and life experiences may be influencing the symptoms you're navigating today—so you can begin creating more ease, adaptability, and trust in your system.

When our founder navigated a knee injury, standard physical therapy didn’t just plateau—it actually made the pain worse. It wasn't until she began looking at her body through a whole-system lens that she was able to finally see the change and improvement she wanted.
Most of our 1:1 clients come to us because they’ve already explored other forms of care and still feel like something important hasn’t been fully addressed yet. This is not because those approaches are wrong—it’s because each one has its own focus.
If your current routines aren’t working, or are just making you feel worse, it may be because your system needs to be understood as a whole—not just through one symptom, muscle, joint, or diagnosis.
To unlock true, everyday physical freedom, we have to look at the whole picture.

When complex or long-standing symptoms refuse to budge under traditional care, working 1:1 with a senior Prism practitioner allows us to follow what your system is showing us in real time and tailor each session to your body, symptoms, life, and capacity that day.
Whether you work with us online worldwide over Zoom or in person at our Pearl District studio in Portland, Oregon, this is personalized support for understanding your system and creating meaningful change over time.
“I have absolutely loved working with Amy! She has changed my life over the last several months of working with her. I rarely say things like that but it’s absolutely true in this case. I keep referring friends to her and they have all had amazing experiences as well. I honestly look forward to my session with her so much and I am getting so much out of our work together.”

The symptoms, histories, and patterns that require deep individual attention to resolve.
Built for stubborn neck, back, knee, or hip pain, recurring injuries, or structural alignment issues that traditional physical therapy or chiropractic care have not been able to resolve.
Your Goal: To move effortlessly, walk stairs without fear, or get down on the floor to play with your grandkids, without organizing your whole day around pain.
Built for autoimmune challenges, cancer recovery, chronic fatigue, or unidentifiable physical symptoms where it constantly feels like your body is actively working against you.
Your Goal: To pull your system out of survival mode so your body finally has the support it needs to feel stable, steady, and adaptable.
Built for high-achievers, entrepreneurs, and professionals who look perfectly capable on the outside, but the constant pursuit of life, business, or responsibility is quietly draining their physical system—leaving you stuck at a performance plateau where you can’t quite break through to your next level.
Your Goal: To lead, scale, work, and create at your absolute highest potential without paying an ongoing, permanent tax on your health, relationships, or your sanity.
Built for stored trauma loops, baseline anxiety, flat depressive states, or survival responses that talking, thinking, or "knowing better" has never been able to fully reach.
Your Goal: To retrain your nervous system to respond to the safety of the present moment, rather than what your body survived in the past.
Many approaches offer valuable tools, insights, and support. This work focuses on the relationship between your body, nervous system, movement patterns, and lived experience—so your system can develop new possibilities for ease, adaptability, and resilience.
Client-Centered, Whole-System Support
In private 1:1 sessions, we work with understanding, curiosity, and safety—helping you better understand your own body, notice what your system is showing us in real time, and become an active participant in your own care.
Body-Based Tools for Deeper Pattern Change
Self-awareness is important, but some patterns are held in the body in ways that thinking alone may not reach. Private care gives you movement-based tools to explore those patterns through body mapping, nervous system education, and guided practice.
A Grounded, Structured Approach to Nervous System Work
This work is not abstract or one-size-fits-all. Our sessions bring structure, logic, and care to nervous system-based support—helping you understand what is happening in your system and how change can begin to happen over time.
“Amy is amazing! She has a way of teaching and explaining that has landed more deeply than ever before. The simple tools she teaches me have shifted not only my physical body but my emotional experience. I feel so lucky to have found Amy. She is an exceptional practitioner and has a true gift for healing.

No. While this work may support pain, movement, and physical function, it is not traditional physical therapy.
Physical therapy often focuses on strengthening, stretching, rehabilitating, or treating a specific area of the body. Prism looks at the whole system—including the nervous system patterns that may be driving pain, movement limitations, stress, or dysfunction.
No. This is not talk therapy, psychotherapy, or mental health treatment.
Because the body and nervous system are connected, emotional patterns, stress responses, trauma patterns, anxiety, or depression may come up through the work. When they do, we support you through body mapping, movement, awareness, nervous system education, and coaching—not traditional psychotherapy.
Our coaching helps you notice what is happening in your body, understand the patterns that may be showing up, and stay connected to your experience as your system gathers new information.
Coaching is not therapy, and Prism Movement Studio does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
This work can be supportive for people navigating chronic illness, anxiety, trauma patterns, depression, burnout, or nervous system overwhelm because we work with the body and nervous system patterns that may be connected to how you move, feel, respond, and protect yourself.
That said, Prism is not a replacement for medical care or mental health treatment.
Depending on your situation, 1:1 support may or may not be the best place to start, which is why we recommend a New Client Consult for anyone navigating more complex physical or emotional patterns.
We’ll help you choose the best starting point based on your body, your goals, your symptoms, and the level of support you need.
